Position: Bookkeeper / Office Administrator – full-time
Organization: Black River Juice
Location: Mississauga, GTA, Ontario

Black River Juice is a premium beverage company located just west of Toronto. We source fruit directly from farmers whenever possible and are one of the largest buyers of tender fruit in the province. As the company bookkeeper you will be responsible for all aspects of daily accounting, but just as with rest of us, the job description isn’t a straightforward one. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and adapt to the ever changing demands of a rapidly growing brand.   • Bookkeeper — managing all aspects of accounting including but not limited to accounts payable / receivable, cash flow management, HST remittance, deposits, inventory reconciliation, year end audit etc.
  • Receiving and processing of orders, management of order picking and shipping when required.
  • General office management, including but not limited to incoming and outgoing mail and couriers, office supplies, co-ordinate waste removal and office cleaning.
  • Customer service.
  • Assistance with inventory management.
  • Assistance with certifications and inspections when required.
  • Assistance with food safety and recall procedures when required.
  • Assistance with production / pressing when required.
  • Processing of workers compensation claims when required.


  • Post-secondary education in accounting / bookkeeping, minimum 2 years experience as a bookkeeper. Experience in food and/or manufacturing is an asset.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office and possess the ability to learn new applications (our accounting software is custom).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Goal oriented, team player with excellent customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
