Are you looking for an opportunity to work in one of the most pristine, beautiful places on Earth? The Village Bakery is located at the base of the St. Elias Mountain Range in the Yukon and at the doorstep of Kluane National Park. Being so close to the Kluane National Park, gives rise to several outdoor activities for all experience levels, including mountain biking, white water rafting, hiking and multi-day hiking, glacier viewing, tours, canoeing, fishing, you name it. We are looking for people that share our interests and who can be part of a small team.
Our business is seasonal and runs from approximately May 1st to mid-September where we aim to serve genuine home cooked food and fresh baked goods to travellers, hikers and anyone who is passing through our town. One of our main goals is to reduce waste and to educate our visitors about the impacts of waste on our planet. The mountains, trees, and scenery do the rest of our job for us – appreciation of our planet.
We are looking to hire several positions including front end Café Attendants, Cooks, Bakers and Custodians for the next season (May to mid-Sept), and given the high intensity of work we require experienced applicants for the main positions. We are always open to enthusiastic, hard-working individuals who share our vision and who appreciate living and working in a pristine part of the world. We are able to offer basic on-site accommodation to some successful applicants as well as competitive wages.
At the Village Bakery, we aim to foster a work environment of comfort, satisfaction, and achievement. Village Bakery & Deli seeks to hire employees whose actions reflect:
