The Nourish and Develop Foundation (http://www.tndf.ca) is a charitable non-profit, located in Cannington (Durham Region). The Community Development Coordinator provides program leadership around local community development initiatives by encouraging community participation and capacity building. The Nourish and Develop Foundation is thus seeking a very motivated and creative individual to fill this role. The preferred candidate is someone who lives within a commutable distance to Cannington and has access to a car. This person will oversee various community projects aimed at engaging local individuals and/or supporting local initiatives. The work includes, coordinating and facilitating learning workshops, facilitating participatory projects such as a Night Market, a Community Garden and organizing political engagement campaigns.
The full-time position involves 35 hours/a week (likely five 7 hr/days) with acompensation of $21.00 - $23.00 an hour plus health benefits after successful completion of the probation period.
