Do you have an open and enterprising mind, with a knack for connecting with people of all walks of life through education? Alvéole is seeking a personable, proactive self-starter and versatile quick thinker to join our Business Development team. You’ll be focusing on our two Ontarian cities, Ottawa and Toronto, to foster and build relationships with new and existing partners. Your responsibilities will span market research, prospecting new leads and proactively developing client relationships.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential customer markets in a variety of industries
  • Establish lists of companies and contacts that qualify for market fit
  • Recruit and follow up with prospects by phone and email leading to in-person meetings
  • Deliver cohesive and engaging messaging around our services
  • Prepare contracts and send offers
  • Establish trust with customers and partners

Ideal Profile

  • Experience in customer service, sales, or project management
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (bilingual an asset)
  • Experience with processes and sales tools (Hubspot CRM,, etc.) an asset

Required Qualities

  • Attention to detail: Timeliness and meticulousness in drafting contracts, preparing insurance certificates and working with CRM.
  • Teamwork: A go-getter who also thrives on positivity, collaboration, and team spirit.
  • Autonomy: Reliable, self-motivated, comfortable creating an individual strategy, while ensuring team goals are met in a timely and organized fashion.
  • People Person: Comfortable cold calling and establishing a sense of trust and honesty with clients. Resilient, investigative, and optimistic when dealing with refusals.
  • Communication: Natural listener, articulate speaker, personable writer. Able to transmit messages thoroughly, with a clear and confident voice.
  • Versatility: Able to switch gears from prospecting to account managing frequently and smoothly.

Terms of Employment

  • Base salary + commissions
  • Based in Montreal
  • Full-time position
