Position: Digital Media and Marketing, Regional Lead (Part-Time)

A new concept in local shopping, Mary’s Mart is a one-stop destination for all your household needs. Through a combination of online and in-store offerings, Mary’s Mart is an urban market that provides easy access to fresh, local products—including produce, meats and baked goods—as well as the daily staples.

We believe shopping should be easy, convenient and inexpensive. To that end, Mary’s Mart has teamed up with local farmers, producers and businesses to bring farm-fresh food to your doorstep. With fewer links in the supply chain, we are able to keep prices low and ensure access to a variety of fresh, high quality products.

Position Objective

Currently Mary’s Mart is looking for motivated, intelligent, and thought provoking individuals to help lead regional digital media, and marketing initiatives.

Mary's Mart is looking for Digital Media and Marketing, Regional Lead for the following regions:

  1. City Centre - General boundary: Spadina Avenue to Jarvis Street; Bloor Street to the Gardiner Expressway
  2. Midtown - General boundary: Christie Street to Sherbourne Street; St. Clair Avenue to Bloor Street
  3. Old Town - General boundary: Yonge Street to the Don Valley Parkway; Queen Street East to the Gardiner Expressway
  4. Westside - General boundary: Sorauren Avenue to Spadina Avenue; Bloor Street West to Gardiner Expressway
  5. Waterfront & Toronto Island - General boundary: Humber River to Don River; Gardiner Expressway to the Toronto Islands
  6. Eastside - General boundary: Don Valley Parkway to Victoria Park Avenue; St. Clair Avenue East to Lake Ontario
  7. Don Valley - General boundary: Jarvis Street to Don Valley Parkway; Lawrence Avenue East to Queen Street East
  8. High Park - General boundary: Sorauren Avenue to Humber River; Dundas Street West to Lake Ontario
  9. Uptown – General boundary: Jane Street to Victoria Park Avenue; Steeles Avenue to St. Clair Avenue
  10. Scarborough - General boundary: Victoria Park Avenue to Pickering; St. Clair Avenue East to Lake Ontario
  11. Etobicoke - General boundary: Etobicoke Creek to Jane Street; Steeles Avenue to Lake Ontario
  12. Mississauga
  13. Brampton

Specific duties include:

Communications & Public Relations

  1. Find local bloggers and local news creators who would be interested in telling Mary’s Mart’s story
  2. Produce digital/interactive content for the benefits of supporting and buying local, organic, and natural products
  3. Connect with the public through consistent use of social media or other avenues to promote Mary’s Mart’s mission.
  4. Connect with target beneficiaries: Individuals, news organizations, local businesses, communities, etc.
    1. This may include building relationships with organizations, local businesses and other communities by connecting on social media or meeting with them.
  5. Increase user traffic and garner an audience compelled to engage with local, organic and natural products.
    1. This may include encouraging members to post their own reviews

Events & Research

  1. To promote and represent Mary’s Mart at events
  2. To undertake specific research projects as directed (when needed) to help bring new supporters on board.
    1. This may include analysing social media and website data to identify trends and key insights.
