Location: Creemore, Ontario (near Collingwood, Stayner, Angus, Ontario)
Term: full-time seasonal, May – October 2019
Housing: car required / no on-farm accom / can assist with finding local accommodation
The New Farm is a certified organic family farm growing premium quality vegetables for restaurants and specialty retailers in southern Ontario. Located near the village of Creemore, south of Collingwood, Ontario, we are focused on environmental and economic sustainability.
We are looking for motivated and hard-working individuals for our farm worker positions. Tasks include planting, weeding, harvesting, washing and packing vegetables, 40 to 60+ hours per week, weekend and evening work required. $14.00/hour. Our growing season is May to October. Full-time, full-season positions only available.
One year of agricultural experience and a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Spanish language skills an asset.
This is a paid position, not an internship, but training is provided and individuals wishing to learn about small-scale, profitable market gardening will be exposed to all aspects of our operation.
