A Great Outdoor Weekend Gig Brewing Coffee at Farmers’ Markets ...
Do you love coffee, community and being outdoors?
We are seeking to hire someone to become our official brewer at farmers’ markets and local foodie events. We need a dynamic individual who fits the role from both a personality and a skillset standpoint, so we also encourage applicants without any coffee experience and will provide full coffee training to the person who best fits.
***Important to note is that this job is very much like an outdoor kitchen job in that it requires some heavy lifting, use of propane stoves, working with large volumes of boiling water, and working outdoors, yes, during Canadian winters.
Some technical knowledge (for use of stoves, grinders, etc.)
Self-motivated with good sense of focus
Strong and healthy physical condition
Friendly farmers’ market personality
Some schedule flexibility
We are looking for at least a year-long commitment since full training will be included.
Farmers’ markets take place primarily on weekends and often start early in the morning.
Number of hours per week will vary. Most weeks there will be 8-16 hrs worth of work and some weeks can be taken off completely.
Compensation: Starting wage is $15/hr
