Position: HMR/Takeout Manager

Location: Toronto, Ontario
We're a bustling natural foods focused grocery store in Toronto’s west end neighbourhood, the Junction. We’re looking for a strong leader to work with us to grow our Home Meal Replacement department and deliver on our customer service promises.
Job purpose: to ensure the highest level of service to our employees and customers. To ensure smooth daily operations, prompt and friendly customer service, and a well maintained department. To meet objectives for quality, profitability, labour efficiency and margin.
Day-to-day aspects of the HMR/takeout department, including: ordering, food preparation, merchandising, and personnel management
Monitor product preparation and cooking for consistency of flavour and product quality
Supervision and leadership
Oversee kitchen facilities and merchandising units in department
Supervisory experience: hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, disciplining.
Kitchen management experience.
Demonstrated skill in recipe development and food preparation.
Facility working with Google Suite of tools, including Google Sheets.
Organized, consistently follows through on commitments.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands.
Communication skills - clear directions, good listener.
Regular, predictable attendance, adaptable to a flexible schedule as needed.
Willingness and ability to learn to meet the changing requirements of the job.
Wage & Benefit Information:
Salary $40,000+, to commensurate with experience
