We're looking for a few motivated team players who enjoy the outdoors and working with the community to help with the set-up and tear-down of the Waterdown Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings (every Saturday or alternating Saturdays pending availability and schedules). There are also occasional casual hours available to support other community events and programs (such as the Business Improvement Area (BIA) sponsor area at the Oh Canada RibFest - the July 1 long weekend, as well as TryDays community free fitness program and other small festivals).
Responsibilities include assisting with set-up and tear down at Market and events (tents, tables, signage, promotional materials, etc) as well as interfacing with the public, answering questions and being ambassadors for Waterdown Village, farmers, vendors and the business community.
Candidates must be willing to working early mornings, weekends and occasional evening shifts depending on events. This is a physical job - candidates must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.We're looking for self-starters, crew members who see what needs to happen and get it done. Service and hospitality-driven attitude a must. CPR training is a plus.
