Position: Guest Services Manager
Organization: Fronterra Farm Camp & Brewery
Location: near Consecon, Prince Edward County, Ontario

Fronterra Farm Camp & Brewery is growing & looking for a passionate & professional person interested in a career in the high-end innovative hospitality business. With a decade of premium tourism experience and entrepreneurship, the present owners are looking expand this business and pass the vital guest relations activities to one who proves themselves to be a great fit for this project.

The Head of Guest Relations is responsible for ensuring the premium Fronterra experience is delivered consistency at all touch points with our guests, visitors & potential clients.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Check-in/out of guests via reservation software (Sirvoy)
  • Coordinate with Ranger for valet services to camp
  • Respond to phone, email, Facebook and guest inquiries/requests
  • Coordinate private chef, yoga/workshops & grounds tours of hop yard and gardens
  • Manage schedule for Cleaners & Rangers using Sirvoy
  • Reorder/restock inventory of Boutique products


The core operating hours of the Guest Relations position is generally from 9AM to 6PM. The shoulder of this period (9AM-11AM & 4PM-6PM) will cover 90% of the check-ins/out leaving the midday to attend to the other responsibilities listed for this position. The position will run from beginning May to October 31st yet could begin earlier for further training and extend past October for brewery related elements to eventual year-round employment.


Working at Fronterra requires a strong work ethic and the ability to keep yourself occupied even if all guests are checked-in/out. Fronterra understands the importance of paying the team well so long as there is this win-win relationship. As such renumeration for this position and the tasks detailed herein will be based on experience, responsibilities and the ability of the candidate to effectively and efficiently meet the work requirements.


Fronterra is exploring a group health insurance package for full-time employees but this will likely initiate once the greater capacity of the brewery operations begin.

Additional perks include staff being invited to enjoy the facilities of Fronterra including the farm produce (organic eggs, fruits, vegetables), yoga and prepared chef meals at cost. Additionally, Fronterra plans to offer staff nights and events where we celebrate the start, mid and end of the season together through special events and outings.


Fronterra is willing to pay for any approved workplace training certifications including First Aid, Occupational Health & Safety Awareness, WorldHost and the like. Fronterra is also committed to traveling and would help staff find ways to explore our world during the off-season with like-minded organizations in New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa.

-Has committed to this the Hospitality/tourism sector by taking courses or studies in the field or has asked for more responsibilities related to these roles in their past experience

Business Management: Here we are looking for those that realize that Fronterra is, in fact, a business whose performance is core to their job and their happiness working as part of the team with a 'success together’ mentality. Specific things we are looking for are:
-Has managed staff and was able to build respect, trust and work-ethics with their staff
-Has worked with point of sale systems and inventory control management
-Understands basic business concepts such as marketing, cost accounting, experience value, information management and transparency, etc

Sustainability & Activism: Fronterra is not just a business, however: it is an agent of change dedicated to promoting the shift toward a more sustainable interaction with the Natural world. -Has dedicated time and energy toward social justice, understanding our connection to that which sustains us, how economics and sustainability intersect
