Position: Director of People & Culture
Organization: Greenhouse Juice Co.
Location: Mississauga, GTA ON, L4V 1R1

Greenhouse is hiring for a Director of People and Culture to lead the human resources function for the company. Our ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor able to exercise good judgment, a critical thinker, highly adaptable, a problem solver and relationship builder. This role will provide the chance to build and help continuously engage a high performing team in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial environment.

We are a small but mighty team and as such, we are looking for someone with extensive generalist experience in human resources with a focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management and workplace accommodation. The candidate will be required to act as a business partner to our senior leaders in the organization, but also roll up their sleeves to execute on daily tasks.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Align strategy and build organizational structure to support people and culture objectives
  • Full cycle recruitment for all management level positions
  • Act as a business partner and coach to senior leaders in the organization
  • Advocate for the employee experience
  • Identify high performers and coach managers on suitable career development practices
  • Coach, advise and manage employees on the people and culture team
  • Conduct action planning related to survey result outcomes with senior leaders
  • Select, calculate and update team on metrics
  • Manage the people and culture budget, the organizational training and engagement budgets
  • Represent the people and culture function in leadership meetings
  • Manage the return to work and accommodation processes
  • Train employees on use and goals of performance management tools
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and conduct risk analysis
  • Coach managers on effective performance management processes
  • Act as a mediator to resolve employee relations issues as required
  • Conduct workplace investigations as needed
  • Conduct exit interviews and focus groups as needed

Desired skills & experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in human resources in a generalist capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Ability to travel across the Toronto and Mississauga area as needed
  • CHRL designation considered an asset
  • Preference given to those with experience in the food and beverage industry
  • Solid knowledge of Ontario employment law with preference given to those with knowledge of British Columbia, Alberta and Nova Scotia law.
