South Pond Farms is a 60-acre farm and special events venue located in the Kawartha Lakes of Ontario. We are dedicated to delivering authentic country experiences, weddings, corporate events, workshops and delicious farm-to-table suppers using food and flowers grown on the land. We are looking for competent servers to serve food and tend to guests to maintain and enhance the quality of service we at South Pond strive to provide. Servers work in close collaboration with one another under the supervision of our Head Server, Chef and Bar Manager. We are looking for part-time servers for our events season (Now – October).
Duties include: Tending to guests, serving, clearing, setting tables, set up and take down of events, folding linens, polishing cutlery and glassware, other event related tasks.
Applicants must be able to work well on a team as well as working independently with minimal supervision and take direction. Servers must be able to identify tasks that need doing and take initiative. Necessary skills include customer service, problem solving and decision making. Applicants must be responsible and trustworthy with a willingness to learn. Servers must be willing to complete all tasks that contribute to the success of events at the farm. The work may require some heavy lifting so some physical fitness is required.
