Our lodge has been in operation for 25 years and is family-run. We are fly-in only and access to land is by boat. We are looking for a cook to begin working in the summer of 2017 with the possibility of returning each summer if the job suits.
At least 5 years’ cooking experience is required. All meals and snacks are prepared from scratch using fresh whole foods and served family style for 6 guests and around 6 staff. The right person will be confident with menu planning but will also be willing to work with owners on this. No red seal is required, but food safe and plenty of cooking experience is essential.
The position is similar to a ‘personal / family cook’ position, due to the small size and intimate atmosphere of our lodge. You will be responsible for most prep and the days can be long starting with an early breakfast. Shift will be between 2 and 3 weeks long depending on your preference, with a 7 day break.
