  • We have lots of experienced staff to learn from. In 2017 we’ll have 6 returning staff.
  • Opportunity for advancement - The right people are offered positions in subsequent years with a raise.
  • Living in the Wakefield area is great - the community, environment, music, food, and Gatineau Park are all amazing.
  • accommodations on the farm.

Wage

$11 -$12/hour, depending on experience. We work an average of 42h/week. You will get paid for all hours worked. Veggies are free (within reason).  Accommodations are available on farm.  Wakefield and Sainte-Cecile-de-Masham are close by, where you may rent rooms/apartments.

Extras

Our farm is in the beautiful Gatineau hills only 2min from Lake Phillipe and Gatineau park and 11km from Wakefield, a vibrant community with cosy cafes, restaurants and fun local bars. There is a growing community of small farmers in this area, which makes it a fun place to network and learn. Although this is most definitely a rural area, you can really get around on a bicycle.

We share hot lunches everyday! The farm provides a kitchen and pays a staff member to cook. Employees contribute to an employee-managed grocery fund.

Our on-farm job training is comprehensive. We do like to keep employees on board from year to year, if all parties feel comfortable, so long term employment is a possibility.
