Earth Haven farm is located directly between Toronto and Ottawa. We grow 6 acre market garden, berries, mushrooms, three sisters. We raise Scottish highland cows. We are a certified biodynamic farm of over 200 acres. We do two Toronto markets every Saturday (Brickworks, The Village market). On the farm there is the Earth Haven Learning Center where you can take part in many day classes to whomever will be teaching that day. In this building, is a kitchen to where we make our food into whatever we want (chefs welcome). We do many things on the farm all year round. It is a small operation where money is not our priority. Our priority is to give back more than to take away from the earth. We live off grid and do what we can to make our impact on earth less.
We are looking for anyone willing to work hard with their hearts. our farm runs like a ship. All involved have roles/strengths. We will work with you to help you fit into your roll here. Here is a list of jobs that we need done over the summer:
What will you learn?
You will learn good work ethic. If you cant keep up you will be asked to leave. you will learn whatever you wish to learn. I encourage you to follow your own curiosity and ask questions, take notes, challenge yourself. We have a large library full of almost anything. How to run and manage a garden. Learn about animal husbandry. Woodlot management. Perennials. Tree planting.
