Opportunity: Flexible farm manager/partner opportunity
Farm: Wilder Farm
Location: St.-Anne-de-Prescott, Eastern Ontario / 1hr from Montreal

We are a young market garden farm with about 2.5 seasons of production under our belt. Located in Ste-Anne-de-Prescott, Ontario, we are about 1 hour west of Montreal. As a mainly CSA driven farm, we have been growing our weekly/bi weekly subscription business since we started and now have around 35 subscribers with a nearly 100% resubscription rate.

Our focus from the start has been on putting together high quality baskets (not even one complaint yet!) and growing some unusual varieties and choices to keep things interesting.

An unexpected career opportunity came up last year, and we can no longer invest enough time in the farm to continue growing the business ourselves. However, we don't want all of our invested time and energy to go to waste, and we want to keep the land worked and productive - so we are looking for someone to partner with to continue and grow the farm business while we play a support and planning role.

We are open to different kinds of arrangements/partnerships - from straight employment to profit sharing, the most important thing for us is finding someone who is the right fit and is interested in operating/managing their own farm. It’s a great opportunity to learn how to run a market farm and we're happy to make sure the opportunity makes sense for the right person, and they are being fairly compensated. Simply put, we just want to see the farm continue and grow.

Whether you might have lots of experience and just need the land and equipment, or are just starting out and are looking to learn more - we are interested in any arrangement with the right person.

The ideal person would be responsible for: crop planning, planting and cultivation, harvesting, and sales and marketing. It’s truly an opportunity to gain all the necessary experience to run a farm business. We live on the property and would be available to support on a part-time basis for operations and cultivation (weeding, infrastructure, field work, harvesting, etc.). We would be able to lead planning and management - or collaborate if you have more experience.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to invest in living space for on-farm help, so you'll have to be able to commute or work out a nearby living situation.

Send an email to to learn more - we're excited to talk and discuss possible arrangements!
