Position: On-farm research for seed trials, farm help for participatory plant breeding programs with heritage and ancient grain seeds

Location: Winchester, just south of Ottawa, Ontario
Against the Grain Farms of Winchester specializes in heritage and ancient grains. We work with several universities on plot trials, as well as restoration of cereal grains.
The internship is open to any one interested in seed saving, seed breeding, ancient grains.
Duties to include helping to plant trial plots of varieties of heritage wheats, barley, buckwheat. Maintenance of plots throughout season, data collection. Also maintenance and expansion of pollinator projects, native tree plantations and heirloom vegetable gardens.
Accomodations available and lots of organic grown food.
If interested, position could include sales at summer events and farmers markets.
