TO Food Market is a new concept food delivery service company operating out of Evergreen Brickworks Farmers market. A social enterprise that makes local food accessible to people within adjacent neighborhoods. Through the just-in-time model, TFM reduces carbon footprint of the food as well as food waste by shortening the food delivery chain and eliminating the need to warehouse.
We highly encourage applicants to be between 18 and 30 (inclusive) years of age* at the start of the employment, full-time / part-time students in the previous academic year and intending to return to school in fall 2019. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. This opportunity is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Summer Work Experience Program in order to provide students with valuable experience in the green jobs sector.
The market help position consists of carefully and efficiently packing market boxes. A smaller portion of the job consists of weighing, sorting, checking quality of produce and tidying up.
Interact with market goers promoting TO Food Market social and environmental objective.
The position is for Saturdays from 7:30 am – 12:00 pm
