Position: Carrot Cache Coordinator

Carrot Cache is a small foundation that funds local organic food initiatives, co-operatives, community food projects, social justice and food sovereignty groups that support the regional food system in Ontario.

Carrot Cache is seeking a Coordinator to lead, develop and manage our program to support community food strategies and to help Carrot Cache contribute to a local and sustainable food movement in Ontario through the distribution of grants and loans to those applicants (co-ops, families, individuals) who have the best chance of making a difference.
You will have a broad knowledge of the alternative food sector, of local and regional initiatives across Ontario and familiarity with other players across Canada, as well as a sense of food related social justice issues, current local food trends and areas of activity. You will have demonstrated ability to carry out detailed work needed to administer a program, experience and capacity to work with and assist a working Board of Directors, excellent communication and writing skills, and an ability to work independently, as well as to collaborate effectively when required. You will have good interpersonal skills and be confident in a representational role.
Based in Ontario, with 2-3 meetings in Toronto per year.
Part Time Contract Position – approximately 24 Hours
Month Salary: $900/month
