Position: Purchasing Team
Organization: Lufa Farms
Location: Montréal, Quebec

The purchasing team is responsible for managing all aspects inherent to our relations with suppliers. We are currently looking for purchasers and a director (senior role). If you have strong negotiation skills, pay attention to detail, and are interested in helping source the best foods for our Lufavores these roles might be for you.

Duties include:

  • Following up on supplier performance and managing all communications with our suppliers including pricing negotiations, quantities required, promotional calendars, new product arrivals and logistics

  • Merchandising responsibilities including evaluating new suppliers and products as well as ingredients, origins and ensuring the alignment with the Lufa Farms mission. Negotiating prices, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience

  • Managing promotions with suppliers and coordinating with marketing to ensure product and supplier descriptions and photos are accurate and up to date

  • Assessing the current product lineup and strategically planning in order to meet customer expectations as well as company objectives

  • Run specific projects mandated by the department head

Required:

  • Strength and experience in accounts management and business relations

  • Strength and experience in negotiation

  • Strong communication skills in both French and English (oral and written)

  • Punctuality and strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work fast, with precision, and without mistakes in an ever changing environment

  • Devotion to quality and work well done

  • Strong work ethics, adaptability, great care for detail, respect for both products and deadlines

  • Good knowledge of computers and good comfort level using various software and apps (especially spreadsheet creation software)

  • Enthusiastic and determined team player, also capable of working independently

  • Rigorous attention to detail, commitment, organisation and effectiveness

Assets:

  • University diploma

  • Project management skills

  • Experience in “B2B” sales

  • Experience in a similar role, especially in the food and beverage industry

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 08:00 @ 17:00, 45 hours/week

Salary:

  • To be determined according to qualifications and experience
