Position: COO / Chief Operating Officer

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to direct our manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and retail teams. Our ideal candidate is someone who can think strategically but also roll up their sleeves to help solve tactical problems. This individual should be customer focused, have an eye for optimization and a strong ability to manage costs. This is an excellent opportunity for a change agent who wants to bring best practices to a young company and build a sustainable framework for future growth.

The COO will lead the way to build the strategy, set targets and ensure that all teams are leveraging the right resources to execute our growth strategy. The COO’s key responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborate with the CEO, Marketing, Sales and R&D teams to create the strategic vision for the company
  • Work with each group in operations to create KPIs and align them with organizational strategy
  • Unify departments across the organization to manage upcoming change initiatives
  • Examine opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies
  • Liaise between Marketing, Sales and R&D to ensure problems are solved and operations concerns are being raised at a company level
  • Review customer service reports and drive action from analysis
  • Contribute strategic insights to develop the co-packing side of the business
  • Ensure all decisions that are made at the operations levels put the customer experience first
  • Provide the vision that shapes standards for quality
  • Ensure the management team is living Greenhouse’s values and encouraging their teams to do the same
  • Create a plan to attract and retain the right talent on the management team

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Bachelors degree in Business Management or Commerce with preference given to those with an MBA
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning processes
  • Strong understanding of business development
