Position: Brownie Production Worker (wholesale bakery)
Organization: Shockingly Healthy
Location: North York, Toronto, Ontario

Our rapidly growing wholesale bakery is often looking for production bakers -- an amazing opportunity with lots of room to grow with a quickly growing business! Baking desserts (brownies/blondies/cookies) made with whole foods and healthier sweeteners, designed to leave you feeling good instead of guilty.

Job - the day to day:

  • General bakery production - Handling baking and manufacturing, packaging, prep (3 flavours of bars, 3 flavours of cookies, various packaging formats).
  • Constantly working to improve upon production efficiencies
  • Quality control/Lot coding
  • self-motivated to work efficiently and to stay on schedule
  • comfortable working alone at times
  • Dishes, cleaning and organizing of the kitchen.
  • prepping orders for shipping and delivery
  • Any other duties as required

Requirements:

  • 1 + years baking experience
  • team work and a positive attitude (we want you to fit in, after all!)
  • flexibility (a variety of shifts range from 5am start to 9pm finish)
  • kitchen experience in busy environments, working to meet quotas
  • you are a motivated and fast worker who excels at inspiring others to work efficiently and to a high standard
  • good with your hands--we've got some thick batter to smooth
  • able to work long hours on your feet, it's a bit of a work out!
  • a keen eye for detail, and high standards
  • Flexible. You understand in a small business everyone pitches in to get the work done.
  • ability to stand for 9 hour shifts and safely and easily lift 50 lbs

SALARY: starting hourly, $13-$15 depending on experience.
PERKS: Mon-Friday or Tuesday - Saturday, no overnights.
