Location: Anywhere in Canada
Leaders in Environmentally Accountable Foodservice (LEAF) is looking for volunteers to complete environmental audits of foodservice facilities across Canada.
Leaders in Environmentally Accountable Foodservice (LEAF) is Canada’s only nationwide, non-profit foodservice certification program. Established in 2009, LEAF helps restaurants reduce their environmental impact and makes it easy for patrons to identify green restaurants. We work with all types of foodservice facilities including restaurants, cafes, food trucks, campuses and tourist locations. We are currently focused on growth and increasing our membership across Canada.
About the position
This position is ideal for students or new graduates looking to build their resume, gain valuable experience, and contribute to reducing the environmental impact of the foodservice industry.
Location: Currently, there are opportunities for auditors in any location across Canada.
Network with industry to develop relationships and build local awareness of the program
Complete environmental audits for potential LEAF members
Achieve and maintain knowledge in relation to the LEAF program, environment, restaurant industry, and issues pertaining to these items.
The ideal candidate will:
Have formal education in environmental studies
Be out-going and personable
Have knowledge of the environmental impacts of the foodservice industry
Be committed to excellent customer service
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be professional and reliable
Have experience with task-sharing platforms such as Trello and Google Drive
Experience in the foodservice industry an asset
Compensation: This is a volunteer position, although there may be an opportunity for permanent paid positions based on performance and fit.
