Position: Grant Writer

Leaders in Environmentally Accountable Foodservice (LEAF) is looking for a volunteer grant writer to support the growth and sustainability of the program.
Leaders in Environmentally Accountable Foodservice (LEAF) is Canada’s only nationwide, non-profit foodservice certification program. Established in 2009, LEAF helps restaurants reduce their environmental impact through education, advocacy, consulting and certification.
About the position
This position is ideal for students or new graduates looking to build their resume and contribute to reducing the environmental impact of the foodservice industry.
Location: work from anywhere in Canada
Understand the mission and operations of the organization
Research potential grants and funding opportunities
Prepare and submit grant proposals on behalf of the organization
The ideal candidate will:
Have basic knowledge of the environmental impacts of the foodservice industry
Formal environmental education
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
This is a volunteer-based position, but there may be an opportunity for a permanent paid position for the during of the grant or beyond, based on performance and fit.
