CSA FARMING / GARDENING

Position: CSA Farm Interns
Type: flexible hours, on-site accom., stipend negotiable, room & board
Organization: Georgian Bay Farm
Location: Township of Tiny, Southern Georgian Bay, Ontario (near Barrie, Midland, Wasaga Beach)

Georgian Bay Farm is a newly established, three-season Homesteading CSA Farm. We work hard to grow delicious and nutritious produce and are always looking for new ideas and talent. We are a young couple who live on the Georgian Bay Park property.

We run a CSA out of Barrie and the surrounding towns, and are building a farm stand for the upcoming season. We will also be hosting a variety of workshops and events this year!

We are looking for 1–3 Interns at a time to come grow with us! We are able to cater Internships to individual interests depending on the time of year. We have a lot of fun — work hard & play hard. Daily tasks include watering, seeding, picking, washing, packing, general construction, etc.

We are flexible for you to work on your own schedule. Whether you’d like to stay for a day, a week, or longer, we’ll work something out!

Interns must be hard working, eager to learn, get along well with others, creativity is a bonus and willing to try new methods and activities. A background in farming or gardening is an asset, as is a Valid G License and access to your own vehicle. We are only 30mins away from Wasaga beach!

Accommodation is available on-site in our renovated, private access loft, or you camp out on our beautiful 200 acre property. We are also only a short drive away from Barrie! Stipend is negotiable depending on experience, room & board.

We look forward to hearing from you. Intern positions are available May-November 2018.

Cheers,
Georgian Bay Farmers
