Neighbourly Farm is a growing village of ecological farmers and food-based entrepreneurs, located two hours northwest of Toronto on a 228-acre property featuring a forest, stream and small lake.

Here, each household lives independently and runs its independent farming or food enterprise, while sharing in a collaborative community ecosystem.

We are now taking applications for a freshly renovated two-bedroom apartment, paired with access to a fully-equipped onsite commercial kitchen.

This opportunity is designed for a committed food entrepreneur who is ready to scale up.

The commercial kitchen is equipped with commercial-grade equipment, walk-in freezer and cooler, and multiple work stations (including a separate room earmarked for a butcher shop).

Enjoy sourcing fresh ingredients right onsite: large-scale organic vegetable and herb gardens, gourmet mushrooms, berries, and a mixed regenerative livestock operation. Other nearby farms add to the scale and variety of locally-available ingredients.

The Details

Combined rent for this apartment and commercial kitchen access will range from $1200 to $2000 per month, scaled to your exact production footprint.

We are looking for proven food entrepreneurs who align with ecological, local sourcing. (We also have strong interest in a cut/wrap butcher, potentially part-time alongside your primary enterprise.)

A smaller one-bedroom apartment, at ~450 sq. ft, with all the same features, will also become available shortly.
