Roles: Garden, Orchard and Preserving Kitchen
Org.: Yasodhara Ashram | Sustainability

Location: Kootenay Bay, BC (with housing)
Remun.: vol. + meals + accom., more (value of $2400 per month)

OVERVIEW OF OPPORTUNITY

Are you interested in growing and learning in a spiritual community while contributing to sustainable food production? We are looking for Garden, Orchard and Preserving Kitchen Learning Residents for the 2023 season starting as soon as March.

A no-fee Learning Residency is a spiritual development program which will allow you to become immersed in the practice of Karma Yoga (selfless service) while honing your technical and leadership skills with the support of a mentor.

Food sovereignty is top of mind for us this coming year. Our garden and orchard produce 25 percent of the food we eat and we need your help in continuing our progress.

REMUNERATION

These are not paid staff positions, they are no-fee spiritual and career/life development opportunities. Participants receive food, accommodation, Hatha Yoga on most days, a weekly workshop, evening Satsang and more.

COMMITMENT

The Garden, Orchard and Preserving Kitchen Learning Residencies are 3 to 8 months in duration within the March to October timeframe. There are also opportunities to extend and we are happy to discuss possibilities with you.
