Position: Project Co-ordinator/Manager
Organization: Community Garden App
Location: Vancouver, BC

The role is to act as Project Co-ordinator/Manager for the Community Garden App, a technology product developed by Community Garden Builders. Community Garden Builders ( is a Vancouver-based social enterprise with a mission to transform vacant property into temporary community gardens and growing spaces. Community Garden App is a software platform that solves managerial and systems-based inefficiencies within community gardens and communal growing spaces by providing a suite of customized digital tools to community garden administrators.

Tasks include:

  • Account Management - New customer on-boarding; Existing customer (~175 customers) retention - making sure they stay and what additional features they want
  • Website - How-To videos for existing customers on Community Garden App features and FAQ Expand on work, create new pages, build out from existing website.
  • Tech Project Management - work with our Developer (Lemberg Solutions) to: Ongoing bug fixes; Data management; New features for next stage of buildout; Account relationship with Developer ~ communications with them
  • Digital Marketing - Social Marketing; Web SEO, Communications, Newsletters
  • Manage community garden registration for Community Garden Builders.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Reliable internet access and ability to participate in video conferences during the business day
  • An interest in food, gardens and community-building
  • Assets include experience working with; Google Email, Sheets, Doc, Squarespace.


This role is supported from a Innovate BC | Innovator Skills Initiative Hiring Grant, whereby the employee must:

2. Must be eligible to work in B.C., including:

  • Must have completed the training program on or after December 1, 2019
  • Can be a student, including co-op students and international students

3. Based in Vancouver, BC


  • 4-month contract
  • $25.00/hr @ 20 hrs/week
  • Start Date: March 1, 2022
  • End Date: June 30, 2022
