Position: Bake Team Member
Company: Real Food for Real Kids
Location: East End of Toronto, ON (near Lakeshore/Carlaw)

Shift: Monday - Friday: 10am-6pm
Compensation: $15 per hour

RFRK proudly serves nutritious meals and snacks to over 20,000 children throughout the Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area every day. We’ve also recently launched our Real Food Kitchen Delivery service to get our yummy food directly into households.

Our Production Team is looking for a fantastic person to join us as a Bake Team Member. If you like the sound of us so far, keep reading to see if you have the experience and skills needed for this rewarding role!

About the Role:

As a baker, you will prepare a variety of baked goods. You will follow existing recipes, and prepare large quantities of muffins, breads, cookies, and other baked goods. You will also be responsible for maintaining and cleaning all baking equipment. You will also be responsible for fulfilling picnic requirements including but not limited to preparing and packing sandwiches, and maintaining sandwich ingredient inventory.

Some of the things you’ll get paid to do:

Food Production

  • High volume food production & baking including, cookies, muffins, croissants and loaves
  • Organize, scale, and portion food items
  • Daily bakery preparations and planning
  • Organizing, prepare & produce sandwiches
  • Work as a team to complete daily quotas and tasks
  • Portion product according to orders
  • Ensure that items being portioned meet our quality standard

Clean Work Environment

  • Help with waste removal
  • Maintain a clean working area
  • Clean-up at the end of the shift

About You


  • Understanding of food safety
  • Positive attitude, with an ability to motivate others to get things done right
  • Dedicated to continual success
  • Forward-thinking
  • Strong attendance record
  • Works well as a team or individual
  • Ability to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift
  • Physically fit (Some lifting of max. 50lbs is required)
  • Attention to cleanliness
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous baking or kitchen experience


  • Experience working in a busy kitchen or production facility
  • Experience with forklifts and pump trucks
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • First Aid Training
  • Food Handler’s Certificate
  • G Driver's License
