SELF-EMPLOYMENT / CONTRACT

Position: Co-Founder & Full Stack Developer
Employer: Inwit
Location: Toronto, Ontario - Candidate must be based in Toronto.

Compensation: Equity-based.
Hours: Minimum 20H a week.

Are you looking to be part of something bigger than yourself? Do you care about sustainability but aren't sure how to make a difference? Would you like to use your skills to leave a positive impact on the world?

At Inwit, we have one thing in common, we all became environmentalists by accident. One day, something made us realize that all that we care about was interconnected with a healthy planet. We believe that climate change is the most important problem we face globally as humanity, and we are fully invested in the impact of our work and delivering change in the world.

We are more than just a startup - we are a community of Torontonians who love food and the planet! We help people connect their takeout meals with climate action - we are Canada's first zero waste food app!

We are seeking a Software Engineer with a green heart who is serious about climate action. It doesn't matter if you're just starting your sustainability journey or have many years of advocacy under your belt. If you are passionate about using innovation and technology to create a positive impact, we would love to connect. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is a visionary with an entrepreneurial spirit. Someone who has a young at heart soul who is driven to make a difference in the world.

Our startup was selected as a finalist in the Circular Innovation City Challenge, putting us in the top 15 innovative climate solutions globally, building a low carbon future. We have completed two pilots in the past (one being Wisebox, Toronto's first reusable container program in Toronto, which got semi-viral with 50K+ impressions), our MVP is ready, we have clients, users and a strong and passionate team!

Role purpose:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Co-Founder and Full-Stack Developer. Someone who is looking to roll up their sleeves and join us on this exciting journey! We currently have a very talented and passionate team and are looking for the right software engineer to help us scale our impact. The decisions and inputs you will bring will contribute exponentially to our venture’s mission and success. This is a valuable chance to build a startup from its proof of concept and help form a world-class team that will disrupt the takeout and food industry while building the next economy.

Be expected to share your ideas and to make them a reality.

The ideal candidate:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit
