Ojibiikaan Indigenous Cultural Network (OICN) is an Indigenous led not-for-profit in Toronto. Ojibiikaan formed in 2018 in response to an identified gap for Indigenous Food Sovereignty programming to address needs of traditional food system, food education, food justice, and agricultural and ecological practices and protocols in Toronto. Our mandate is to strengthen Indigenous roots in Toronto, the GTA and surrounding First Nations communities through knowledge exchange and land-based food projects.
Ojiibikens is a core program developed and delivered by OICN. Under this program, the staff deliver virtual and mobile cultural and land-based activities for Indigenous children and their families in Toronto. This program is funded through the City of Toronto by the Government of Ontario Journey Together strategy for reconciliation.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Ojibiikaan Board of Directors, the position oversees the daily operations, administration, management, and implementation of the Ojiibikens Program. The Program Manager is expected to lead staff in the planning and implementation of programming. To be successful in this role you will need to be service-oriented and an effective leader who works well within teams and has strong program planning skills.

This is a full-time contract position based in Toronto from April 1, 2021 to March 21, 2023 with the possibility of extension. This position requires some local travel and some evening and weekend hours to attend meetings, special events and fulfill other job functions. The salary ranges from $73,800 to $85,540 dependent on experience.
