Hiring: Organic farming (part-time position)

Location: Crofton (near Duncan), BC

Looking for some part-time farm work that gets you active outdoors and with access to delicious fresh food? Join our farm crew to help with weekly harvests this season!

Our farm is located in Crofton, near Duncan on Vancouver Island. This will be our 14th season farming here, where we grow a wide range of vegetables on 3 acres. Our farm is certified organic and relies on our dedicated crew of hardworking folks, which includes us (Nick & Niki) and three other crew members.

We have one part-time (1-2 days/ week) position open for the 2026 season. Starting in late May through the end of October (with some flexibility around actual start and end dates), this position requires a full day on Tuesdays to help with harvest and packing. If interested, there is the possibility of adding one other day/ week (ideally Monday, but we may be flexible here as well). Please state if you are interested in just Tuesdays, or if you prefer to work 2 days/ week.

We are looking for a reliable worker who is passionate about food and interested in working on a farm. Previous farm experience is not required, but can be an asset, so is general experience working outdoors and with plants (e.g. landscaping, tree planting), as well as experience working in fast paced environments such as kitchens. Attention to detail and high quality of work, while working fast, are also important.

Farm crew work closely with us on busy harvest days. Work will include harvesting, washing and packing (and other farm tasks if this is a 2 days/ week position). Starting wage (no prior experience) is $19.00/hour, or negotiable based on experience, plus free vegetables.

There is no housing available on the farm this season, so please take this into consideration before applying. Housing opportunities exist nearby in Crofton (walking distance) and Maple Bay (potentially biking distance), however housing in the wider region would require that you have a vehicle in order to get to work.
