Position: Summer Season Maintenance Assistants (2)
Type: summer job
Organization: Clearwater Farm/ Ontario Water Centre
Location: Georgina, Ontario
Hours: 5 Days per Week Positions 35 hours

ClearWater Farm (CWF) is a social enterprise that uses sustainable and organic growing methodologies at a farm site on the shore of Lake Simcoe in Georgina, one hour from Toronto. CWF is the flagship project of the Ontario Water Centre that promotes understanding of, and connection to, nature and water among kids and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Maintenance Coordinator with general repairs to buildings/ structures barn; garage, greenhouses, farmhouse; tiny houses; outside kitchen; cold storage; wash station any outdoor structures
  • General maintenance of site
  • Garbage removal on site
  • Landscaping of farm site grass cutting; trimming, tree watering
  • Daily cleaning of site
  • Events setup and teardown
  • Opening and closing season residence with outdoor kitchen and bathrooms

Routine maintenance of property

  • Grounds are clean and safe
  • Moving; removing; planting trees; plants; soil; mulch
  • Various daily tasks as assigned by work orders, Maintenance Manager or Coordinator
  • Maintenance of Work Orders system

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic repairs knowledge
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Skilled landscaping
  • Capable of using a Kubota tractor


Preference for previous landscaping and maintenance

Start Date May 1, 2021
End Date September 3, 2021
Salary; $15.00 per hour
