Hiring: Lead Field Assistant 2023

We are looking for two experienced Lead Field Assistants to work on our urban community farm.
Background
The Sharing Farm is a unique community farm combining the practice of sustainable farming set within a framework of food justice and food security in the region. We are a not-for-profit organization that grows produce on donated city lands for the Richmond Food Bank and other community agencies. We also sell our produce via a CSA (community supported agriculture) program, a Farm Stand, an online store, farmers markets and our annual Richmond Garlic Fest.
The Sharing Farm is located on the south bank of the Fraser River, on the unceded territory of the Musqueam people. The four-acre farm is situated within Richmond’s Terra Nova Rural Park, located at the west end of Westminster Highway, alongside the West Dyke, in Richmond BC. Compensation and Work Hours
Compensation: Depending on experience and/or skills, $21-$23 per hour, plus access to Farm produce, and 4% vacation on top of pay. Five days of paid Sick Leave after 90 days of employment; after 150 days of employment, one additional day of Sick Leave is accumulated per month. Thanksgiving is a paid holiday.
Days: 4 days per week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday Hours: 30-45 hours/ week, averaging 35/week, depending on weather and seasonal demands.
Contract Length:
We are hiring one person for 22 weeks (starting May 29) and one person for 25 weeks (starting May 8.)
