Position: Woodworking & Shop Labour
Company: LifeSpace Gardens
Location: North Vancouver, BC

We are looking for a hardworking and energetic individual to join our team of builders and creative minds.

The Shop Laborer will work under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager and Chief Operations Officer to receive tasks including stock inventory, wood staining and finishing, and more. There will also be other landscape and exterior carpentry projects to assist with. We hope to offer a rich experience to our hires. The role will require someone who is:

Job Duties

• The loading/unloading of trucks and trailers with gardens, supplies, and equipment ? Assist with cutting, machining, and planing
• Sanding and preparing wood to be finished
• Staining and finishing
• Assembly and stocking of components
• Sorting, packing, and boxing of materials and products
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers
• Shop and job site cleanup, shop organization and inventory counts
• Assist with Garden installations: Deliver and fill garden boxes with soil
• Experience, interest, and knowledge in construction, carpentry, woodworking, gardening, landscaping, community events, and food growing are a plus

Skills & Experience

Will train the right applicant.

• Experience woodworking with power drill, impact driver and hand tools.
• Experience woodworking with chop saw, tablesaw, power planer and shaper
• Ability to do heavy lifting will be required
• Driver’s License a plus, but not required
• Time Management skills - working safely, independently and efficiently, as well as part of a team
• Experience with customer service is a plus, but not required
• Basic computer skills

$18 per hour
Total hours per week 24-40
