Consider how participating as a volunteer member of the Farm to Cafeteria Canada Advisory Council you can contribute to transforming food systems to be more vibrant and resilient.
Farm to Cafeteria Canada (F2CC) is a pan-Canadian organization whose vision is vibrant and sustainable regional food systems that support the health of people, place and planet. F2CC works collaboratively to educate, build capacity, strengthen partnerships, and influence policy to bring local, healthy, and sustainable foods into all public institutions. Our priority work is currently focused in the school (K-12) setting where we seek to transform school food environments through a farm to school approach. Today more than 1240 schools are reporting farm to school activity across the country and we are looking to grow that momentum so that every child and every community can experience the benefits of farm to school.

The Advisory Council (AC) is responsible for stewarding the organization’s direction, success, and ensuring long-term sustainability. AC members provide guidance and support to the National Director and project teams by advising on program development, annual budget planning and fundraising, while helping to grow our national network and strengthen partnerships.
We are seeking committed individuals who support collaborative governance, are innovative thinkers and have a shared interest in F2CC’s vision, mission and values. We are excited to welcome individuals who are eager to build meaningful and lasting relationships and who will approach this position with a high degree of initiative to contribute to the long-term success of the organization.
F2CC is committed to building and sustaining an AC that is representative of the unique individuals, sectors, and communities we serve. We value equity, diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from people of diverse abilities, cultures, ethnic origin, gender, age, lived experience, profession and educational background. Geographic locations will also be considered with priority given to ensure there is representation from across the country.
Membership terms are two years and the AC will meet at minimum four times per year by video conferencing and will conduct its work electronically.
