ORGANIC FARMING / INTERNSHIP

Position: Organic Herb Farmworker, Student, or internship position
Organization: Stoeckli Organics
Location: Kincardine, Ontario
Housing: on-farm accommodation available

Pay: minimum wage $14.--
Duration: May - October 2021 

Stoeckli Organics is a 100 acres certified organic mixed farm with focus on growing, harvesting, drying, and processing medicinal and culinary herbs into herbal teas, culinary blends, and healing creams.

The products are sold locally at the Kincardine Farmers Market, and online through “Eat Local Grey Bruce”.

I am looking for someone who has a keen interest in organic, sustainable agriculture and an interest in herb production and processing. This position will provide the opportunity to learn all about herbs from planting to harvesting to producing value-added products in small-scale organic farming (mostly handwork).

Duties:

  • Planting, weeding, harvesting, and bundling herbs for drying. Packaging dried herbs, assisting in making herbal creams.

Requirements:

  • Must enjoy working outdoors which can be physically demanding.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Shall work efficiently and quickly with good attention to detail.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or own method of transportation
