Would you like to be part of the team at Bridges for Women? We are a gutsy, innovative, feminist agency that provides supports and services to women impacted by trauma, violence, or neglect. We are looking for a volunteer to cook one day a week, for about a 3 hour shift to provide a heartening meal to students and clients. Duties include making a meal at home to feed 15-20 people for 3 days, baking cookies, cakes, scones, and / or muffins. The volunteer is responsible for dropping off the food at the Westshore location on Tuesday mornings. This will be a 6 month commitment starting Sept 22, 2021 and Bridges will pay for the cost of food.
The comforting smell of good, healthy food is a wonderful start to the day, and goes far to provide a warm and welcoming space for healing to occur. Its value cannot be underestimated and we thank all applicants.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
You will have to prepare food at home in a food safe environment. Bridges will cover the cost of all ingredients needed.
