Rutabaga Ranch is a busy, certified organic, biodynamic vegetable farm in Brinston, Ontario, rooted in sustainable growing and hard work. We’re looking for motivated folks ready to dive into the seasonally paced, hands-on farm life this season — from planting and harvesting to market sales. Peak Summer Assistant Market Gardener

• Full-time: June 1 – September 1
• Early summer schedule during peak heat: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Starting pay: Minimum wage, open to negotiation based on experience and performance

Part-Time Assistant Market Gardener

• May – September
• Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Friday
• Possibility to continue into fall and market work
• Starting pay: Minimum wage, negotiable based on experience and performance

Market Staff

• June – September
• Saturdays and/or Sundays at Westboro and Lansdowne Farmers Markets
• Full-day shifts or afternoon shifts (1 PM – 3:30 PM)
• Includes a week’s supply of fresh vegetables
• Starting pay: Minimum wage, negotiable based on experience and performance

Friday Harvest Support

• May – November
• Fridays only
• Early summer schedule during peak heat: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Starting pay: Minimum wage, negotiable based on experience and performance

Seasonal Volunteer

• April – September
• Wednesdays
• Learn vegetable production hands-on and plant alongside our crew
• Includes a home-cooked lunch and a week’s worth of groceries
• Early summer schedule during peak heat: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Volunteer position, unpaid
