About

Flourish Group Inc. was co-founded in 2024 by Benji, Spencer, and Brock, three young professionals in Toronto who’ve been friends since high school. Coming from diverse backgrounds in academia, finance, and data science, the trio were united by a shared sense that radical change will be needed for society to truly tackle the epidemics of chronic disease we face. The average Canadian’s consumption of ultra-processed foods needs to be greatly reduced, but our current food systems are not remotely up to the task. Realizing this, the three friends started Flourish. Our goal is to help address the chronic disease epidemic by enabling consumers to embrace a diet and way of life that prioritizes home cooking, and whole foods.

Restaurant Overview:

Commensurate with our objective of improving social health, Flourish Group Inc. is opening a new chain of health-focused quick-service restaurants in Toronto to expand the affordability and accessibility of non-ultra-processed eating. Our QSRs won’t serve typical, un-inspired ‘healthy’ salads and bowls, but will rather focus on serving a holistic range of 100% non-ultra-processed proteins, sides, soups, teas, and coffees, at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our menu will emphasize seasonality, and will draw on the most nutritious and wholesome home-cooked cuisine from around the globe, with weekly-rotating items.

Our first restaurant is located in the King and Bathurst area of downtown Toronto, and is currently undergoing preparations to open in April 2026. Further locations are being planned to open in 2027 and beyond.

Position Overview:

We’re currently looking to hire an Executive Corporate Chef to join our team and lead culinary operations at our first location. The position will be full-time (~40 hours/week), salaried, and located on-site at our restaurant near King and Bathurst. Responsibilities will include weekly menu development, overseeing menu execution and cooking operations, ordering, inventory, and other duties.

As subsequent locations of our new chain are opened, the Executive Corporate Chef role will transition from managing culinary operations at a single location to managing company-wide culinary operations at a corporate level.

Our ideal candidate has a knowledge and passion for wholesome cooking, as well as experience in the food industry. Salary: ~$50,000 Note: salary is also negotiable, and may include equity if desired.
