Position Overview:
The Communications Coordinator will work collaboratively to support Youth Climate Corps BC's communication strategy. This role involves curating stories from programs across BC and creating compelling written and visual content that attracts, engages, and aligns with the organization's strategic goals, ultimately supporting provincial growth and generating brand awareness.
The Communications Coordinator will create and oversee content on Youth Climate Corps BC's social media platforms, website, newsletters, and other marketing campaigns. We encourage strategic thinking, brainstorming, and planning within the team. The ideal candidate must possess strong English writing skills and a solid understanding of climate action and digital communications.
This position requires effective communication skills to connect with colleagues and partners both remotely and in person. The role is remote, offering flexibility for self-directed work and scheduling. Mentorship and coaching are integral to our culture, with opportunities for both mentorship and being mentored.
