Position: Experienced Farmhand, focus on harvesting mixed field and greenhouse vegetables
Farm: Northstar Organics
Location: Central Saanich, near Victoria BC

Northstar Organics is a certified organic 10-acre, mixed vegetable and berry farm located in Central Saanich near Victoria. We grow a large variety of field and greenhouse fruit and vegetables, all for sale locally through farmers markets and to restaurants and stores in Victoria.

Are you interested in learning more about small scale organic farming? We provide the opportunity to learn the business of small scale intensive organic growing using innovative and modern farming techniques.

This is a great work opportunity for someone that wants physically intensive, rewarding work. The huge variety of crops and tasks ensures that employees have a varied and engaging work experience.

Work is 9am – 5pm, 5 days per week. Compensation is $20-$22/hr to start depending on experience in hand harvesting vegetable crops.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Produce harvest specialist, to start November. Work involves hand harvesting vegetables for wholesale customers and farmers' markets. This is a fast paced job with tasks including working with the harvest manager to pick and pack daily orders to be ready for delivery. The farm grows over 60 different crops, so there is a wide variety of skills to master.
