ORGANIC FARMING

Farm: Food of the Sun

Location: Cawston, BC
Housing: accom. with private bathroom

Food of the Sun organic farm is a 5 acre veggie farm in Cawston BC. We have been growing for over 15 years and looking for a full time employee or intern that would be excited to learn how to have a market/delivery program business.

We are looking for someone from mid April or beginning of May until September.

Jobs would include bed preparation, irrigation set up, seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting and maintenance. If you are interested in how to run a small organic production I am a willing teacher!

We have a very active family with 2 young boys and 3 dogs. We love sports and river time in the summer.

There's a lot of opportunities on the farm to try new things, drive tractors, experiment with different techniques. Everyone farms differently and I'm open to changing and doing challenging things every season.

Applicant must be physically fit and be able to lift 40lbs.

The farm is close to hiking/biking paths and our amazing Similkameen River. Also grocery stores, cafes, wineries and restaurants all in walking/biking range. We have accommodation with private bathroom or if you have a van/rv we have plenty of space for a cozy set up. Lots of options for the right person.
