Positions: Farm Crew
Farm: River and Sea Flowers
Location: Westham Island, Greater Vancouver/ Ladner/ Delta BC
(Please note that we are unable to offer any housing opportunities.)
We are looking for one full time person and one part time person to join our team for the 2026 season.
About Us
River and Sea Flowers is a certified organic cut flower farm on Westham Island. We sell our flowers to florists, at farmers markets and our farm gate stand, to DIY wedding and event customers and through a small CSA program. We grow a huge diversity of flowers on about 1.75 acres, with the majority in the field as well as a few stationary and rolling, heated and unheated hoop houses.

We follow ecologically sound production methods and strive for amazing quality and excellent customer service. We value a cooperative team workplace that fosters growth. We offer a veggie CSA box shared between team members, a small gear and health stipend, a 45 minute lunch break and excess flowers to take home to enjoy.
About the Positions
Position 1
This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week, beginning in late March or early April running until between late November and mid December. You will be trained in many aspects of organic cut flower production. Duties will involve weeding, planting, harvesting, packing and preparing cut flowers for sale as well as other general farm tasks.
Work days are expected to be Tuesday to Friday as well as either Saturday or Sunday during our main farmer’s market season (April to October). This involves working at a farmer’s market in Vancouver on one weekend day, and being included in the rotation with other team members to drive our van from the farm to market and back. During the shoulder season (March to April and November to December) some weeks the work days may all be at the farm Monday to Friday if we don’t have a full farmer’s market schedule on the weekends. Pay rate depends on experience, starting wages are $17.85-$20.00 an hour plus 4% vacation pay.
While this position is seasonal, we would love to have the right candidate return the following season, possibly taking on more responsibility, should they be a good fit.
